This is my first story by this author. While there are some horror elements between the lines I would say this is more dark drama than horror. It's a very somber piece. So much loss, so much tragedy. There are some that say this is not a complete story and I would agree that it's not maybe a traditional format. I would really call this a look into a brief interaction by two individuals who have suffered loss and share their pain with each other. In the clip of time we are glancing upon I would say that these two people are drawn together if nothing more than to find some peace.
Closing thoughts:
I do have questions though. Well perhaps less questions and more thoughts about what is going on in the background of this interaction. It almost feels post apocalyptic to me. It seems that there are bodies of the dead discarded in the cemetery. I also wonder if the violinist is alive or if she is the walking dead. If not dead than suffering from exposure to some sort of pathogen based on her description. Short and sad and relatively well written. Not a lot of meat there but like I said this is just a glimpse into an interaction between two strangers.

Alfred's Musings #4 (Horror You Crave Series)

This story is post violence with the perpetrator and victim working out their fate. The victim is of course bleeding and fatally injured. Alfred, the main character and murderer gives the victim an opportunity to kill him in a somewhat “Saw” type style. Suffer pain to save your own life. This is also a look at a brief moment in time where two people are interacting. Unfortunately for one of them their current company is not 100% what they seem.
Closing thoughts:
The question is can he do it or not. I also suspect that the photographer was a goner anyway. He had already lost a lot of blood and if he were to pull the knife from his ribs he may bleed out even faster. Honestly it's a loose loose for this guy and Alfred knows it. The end does have an interesting twist revealing the motivation behind the murder.

Satan’s Contemplations #9 (Horror You Crave Series)

A conversation between God and the Devil I believe. It seems that by the end Satan has a theory as to why we as human beings are capable of sin. It's a very interesting take from the author. While this one is short and sweet it's definitely a thinker.
Closing thoughts:
Miranda associates human emotion with the Christian versions of God and Satan. What are your thoughts on this little Ghoulies? Do you think fear is something that God feels? Do you think that if so, God would make the mistake of revealing this to Satan? It's something to contemplate...

If Only Love Could be Taken as a Pill #26 (Horror You Crave Series)

A brief look into the life and mind of a drug addict. I can't pretend to understand this particular ailment but I will say that this woman needs intervention. If she's to live that is. I wonder if her little journey while blacked out will make her want to change. Give her the strength to do so. She's had so many failed relationships, of her own doing I'm sure; whether it be in her choice of who she has these relationships with, or how she acts while in them. The one relationship that appears to be stable is her friendship with Anna. Anna is a saint. It's not easy caring about an addict and sticking by them.
Closing thoughts:
So the question is will Sarah change her ways or will she become worse? I think this is going to go one way or the other. She gonna take the hard road and clear herself up or she is going to die. What side of the divide do you sit on little Ghoulies?
